So there's a small list of people still having issues... it'll be interesting to see if this list grows longer as Q160 gets rolled out to more boxes. Out of curiosity, are you both running miniboxes too? Do you use WiFi or ethernet on your main box? Are you outputting DD or DD+ via HDMI?
I'm thankfully still on zero drop-outs after a couple of weeks so Q160 seems to have worked for me. I'm on a single 2TB box, 2160P 10bit, WiFi off, DD+.

I have one minibox and use ethernet to both boxes with wifi on them both disabled.
DD+ via HDMI

I've had it unofficially confirmed Q160 is 4-5 weeks from general public release.
This was told to me by a Sky employee from the info gathered on their internal forums.
he also mentioned it's not uncommon for such dates to change!

I think he was mistaken. It started rolling out this week and should be finished before the 10th of July...

That info is wrong, the rollout will start tonight to our first batch of customers.

That's great news, couldn't be more happier to be wrong 🙂

Is it wrong to hope that the first batch includes customers know to be upset by the issue. Seems that is speed through the normal process (not complaining) 👏
Either way hopefully it won't be long now.
😁👍

What a fascinating situation. And how the messaging on Q160 public release varies from the customer teams vs the ORACLE vs Sky employees on this forum. And not forgetting Sky's own website. I notice that on that site there isn't an entry to show when the page was last updated (or is that just my small phone again) or even a date when Q160 is being released. Just my observations.

Tbf that can be said about almost all organisations, even the best communication companies fail to effectively communicate to all people on all departments even if people were perfectly obedient and read every memo things fail to be passed on.

It's not wrong to hope that, but it's completely unrealistic. With millions of boxes to update, they're hardly going to type in the user names of all those people who might feel 'upset' by sound drop outs to ensure they get Q160 first, when it's only a matter of a few weeks until everyone gets it.
If sound drops truly are upsetting for people then I pray their lives are never touched by matters of any real importance...

@Rhonny it's true many of us are blessed with less serious struggles in life but just because something may not seem "truly important", upsetting or even just plain annoying to you doesn't mean it's not to others. That said I'm truly please your not bothered by such things, and hope that's not because your suffering from or distracted by something more serious.
