Yep, I haven't had any sound issues at all since Q160. Looking good!

Still having issues with the audio drop outs 😞
I havent plugging Sky directly into the soundbar yet (instead of the e-ARC port) as that then means my PS5 or Nintendo Switch are no longer running through it.
Has anyone any suggestions as to how I should have it setup?

Hi @Kei+M
Any date set for the general release of Q160?
thanks
Hi @cjk09 Q160 as with any software update on SKYQ, will be released in batches over a number of weeks, roll out has started, so you may be in the next batch?

Just to check your connection - if you're using eARC then your Q box shouldn't be connected to the eARC port on the TV or the soundbar - it should be connected to a different HDMI socket on the TV, then a second cable goes from the eARC port on the TV to the eARC port on the soundbar. This then transfers any audio from any device plugged into the TVs other HDMI sockets (be it a Sky box, a Blu-Ray player, a console, etc) to the soundbar.
Alternatively, if the soundbar has multiple HDMI inputs (and full 4k passthrough) then you can connect your Q box or any other device into the soundbar first, then have just one HDMI cable going to the TV. Lip sync is often better this way but you may lose HDR if the soundbar cannot passthrough the full HDMI bandwidth.

Currently my Sky Q box, PS5 and Nintentdo Switch all plug directly into the HDMI ports on my TV.
My soundbar then plugs directly into the eARC HDMI port on my TV.
Unfortunately the soundbar doesnt have multiple HDMI ports.

Sounds like you are set up correctly then. Are the drop-outs you're experiencing the same as we were all experiencing before Q160 - i.e. if you rewind the same section the audio plays fine? Were you watching live or a recording or download or an app at the time?
Have you tried listening through the TV speakers for a while, just to see if it's the soundbar which is introducing the drop-outs?

Yes the issues are exactly the same as before the Q160 rollout. Mainly I have the issue when playing back recorded TV however it has crept in when switching channels sometimes. The only way I can resolve it is to flick through the soundbar sources.
Were you watching live or a recording or download or an app at the time? Almost always recorded.

I have but probably not that long but never had an issue via TV speakers.

Interesting. That would suggest it's an issue with your soundbar, possibly with how the audio is being passed through your TV to it.

Just noticed Q160 is now listed on the Sky Q software page .....

Tried a forced update on our main box (mini already has Q160) but no joy as yet.

I definitely still have dropouts with Q160 - mainly on live channels (ITV, C4, C5 are worst) but watching using Prime Video app, I also had a few in Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm. Recorded material has improved a lot but still get a few random drops.
