As I've already mentioned I have the "Digital Audio Output" on my TV set to Passthrough.
However I also have Auto and PCM.
I take it I am on the correct setting whilst connected via the e-ARC port?

HDR dropping out was one of the issues Q160 is slated to resolve, as confirmed by a Sky employee (Kei M I believe) some time ago. I reported this back to Sky back in December, as did a number of other users (there are a number of threads on here dedicated to the issue) so it's a little disappointing to see that hasnt been rectified 6 months later.

First night tonight I'm watching the Mini box, I can't even begin to tell you the difference between the latest on the main box and my mini up the stairs ! The difference between Q160 and Q150 is absolutely shocking! I cannot wait for the latest to be released 😂

Another few days of watching and I've still had ZERO dropouts 👍
In addition to the previously tested content I've now watched the full first episode of Loki (which I thought was just brilliant 🤩) on Disney+ as well as first episode of Falcon. Both played flawlessly with pauses, rewinds, forwards, stop and continue.
A I said earlier I normally use apps direct on my TV (and never had dropouts obviously) but wanted to ensure that Q160 firmware has fixed sound issues on as much content as I could try for everyone's information.
Cheers

@Chodley Oh I see - how are you finding 16 ? I personally have found Q160 to be drop-out free and most seem to agree Q16 has fixed the sound issues

@Corum
Do you mean Q61 by any chance? I'm very particular about these things.

Still on v150 here, sadly, as the dropouts during the cricket today have been frequent, regular and thoroughly annoying.

Yes I'm afraid you will be until the firmware is thoroughly tested and approved for general release - at which point it will be pushed out and your box will update automatically when it's available (that is unless you applied for beta testing). All I can say is grin and bear it.....happier times are on their way 👍

@Carol+N That was not on the list of fixes see below my post for what was listed. Anyway its happened only once. Q160 fixes some major issues for myself and many others but its not the holy grail of fixes for every Sky Q issue that exists I'm afraid, bug fixing means going though huge amounts of code. It takes time. However its doing well on sound dropouts for my box. Ive reached a week and there have been a grand total of zero. If you press the three dots and look in the trials section it lists under 'Gonzo' everything on your box you habe plus settings etc, including customer logging enabled, not sure if thats just plain old what we watch info or its trial test info.

Thanks for the clarification @notagain , I wasn't expecting Q160 to solve everything but from posts on this and other threads (including some by Sky employees such as Kei+M I was expecting a resolution to the three key issues that have dogged the v3 box since it's launch last year, viz. sound dropouts, WiFi disruption / SSDP spamming and HDR dropouts. My experience on the first two is hugely positive but I haven't watched sufficient HDR material to be able to provide an opinion on that. So, my post wasn't a moan as much as a query.
