Re: Glass as a second TV?
So I'm a black diamond VIP 19 years customer right, and they are looking 9 years + cust first right like you say, so how many customers in 2 full days are ahead of me? I'm not being big headed or rude, but don't seem right.
I called them on Monday and they quoted a £112 package at £158 with a 65 inch, why am I gonna pay more money when I'm just buying the Tv? They said wait for your code first and then they can look at a deal, But when will this code come via email so I can call them? I just want to know what the deal is for me ? Too much to ask ? I think they ain't Got a clue what they are doing ?

Re: Glass as a second TV?
@Minkyman23 you have every right to be annoyed by a phiranna biting you.
£158 in a CoVID crisis... you/no one can plan health/work these days for a global plague & Sky are ignoring that.
"Special code" is two fingers to you, pay £158 or else.
This should be a grand leading product, it's design and execution past the idea conception is very sub poor.
Black diamond? I mean don't they even get that they are saying you are the coal fuel to their firehou$e lol, honesty Glass is turning out to be Comcast's Voltswagen.
Here's hoping they turn it around ASAP with a actual IPTV product not a television that all its Sky/Now customers already have, irony is lost at Comcast apparently.
I for one will be all over Sky IPTV, when it actually launches but not whilst it's trying to financially **bleep** consumers to replace their most likely better TV's with their own branded one as a apparent 'IPTV' offering.
Frankly stay on your current package, Glass isn't going to be the next iPhone no matter how much Comcast want it to be AND especially at them prices! Drop Sat fees = charge customer way more? What Sky board members actually signed off on this delusion.
Roll on actual Sky IPTV!

Re: Glass as a second TV?
Although you can't have sky Q and sky glass you can just add a Puk to the downstairs tv which will replace your sky Q box and will work just the same .

Re: Glass as a second TV?
Hi
the puck picture quality is the same as the sky glass.
the only thing which will affect it will be your broadband speed which has to be really good and obviously the tv itself.
I have a puck in the second room in my house with my LG 4K TV 65inch and the picture is excellent.
I got sky glass as my tv wasn't OLED or QLED but Sky glass was.

Re: Glass as a second TV?
I have Sky Q in my living room and a mini box in my bedroom. I've just ordered Sky glass for my Sons room. I wasn't aware of the fact until after I placed the order Sky Q will no longer work. I wanted to keep using sky Q and using the mini box, I just wanted Sky Q for my sons room. I think sky have done a big mistake here.

@Craig+Ov Sky have never allowed more than one service per address, so I fail to see how they have made a mistake
as you have discovered you can't have both q and glass on the same account as they are both tv services so if you want to keep q you would need to cancel the glass order

Re: Glass as a second TV?
@Craig+OvIf you don't want to cancel it you will need to buy a puck for the second TV.
Once you have activated the glass TV you have 31 days to cancel and return it if you don't cancel you have 60 days to return the Q boxes.

Re: Glass as a second TV?
I think Sky are missing a trick to be honest. Sky glass is a internet based service. There is no reason why sky can't allow sky glass to be used in my sons Room and me continue to use Q in my living room. I want to be able to still use the record facility in my living room and the other sky Q services. I only ordered sky glass for my sons room because I like the sound of the sound bar built in etc. thank you for pointing out the obvious if I'm not happy I can cancel it.......

Re: Glass as a second TV?
I can only order one puck at first, so I'll be unable to watch tv in all the rooms I require. Living room, bedroom, sky Glass in sons room.

Posts have indicated additional pucks can be purchased once the initial order has gone through.

Re: Glass as a second TV?
Not sure how you could just buy the tv as it comes with sky built in . Unless u buy out right but it doesn't work with sky Q .
yes you can buy outright . But to benefit from the surround tv you need to buy have the sky package .
for the 43" it's £130 which is everything so I guess it is £117 fir everything then you add the tv price on top .
hope this helps

Pucks are purchased outright. The single Whole Home subscription covers up to six pucks for the same monthly amount, currently £10.

Re: Glass as a second TV?
It's 2 subscriptions . As sky Q won't work with the glass tv .
That shouldn't matter so I agree sky has missed a trick they should allow sky to come through the internet as part of your package and you just add the price of the tv onto your package . Also not everyone has a great speed so like want the surround sound but not uhd as speed not good . Although it's over 23mps . So splitting the package down would be great.
