Oh wow!!!! That is a game changer, so they want me to buy 2 TVs be with them 18 years and pay more monthly on my channels as I'm buying 2k worth or TVs ? How does that work?

When you put it that way, I would suggest they aren't offering you something worth your money.  Stick to your Sky Q subscription would be my advice, seems you have a decent discount on it too

Re: Glass as a second TV?

Yea I have a pretty discount heavy sky q subscription and have done for a while, don't see why they can't honour that? Oh well guess we will see in 7 days from now .... thanks for your help, I was just thinking, bolt on the Tv prices only to what I'm paying for my channels now, seems like they want to wipe the slate clean and get everyone on more expensive packages, don't get me wrong I'm still paying over a £100  currently including broadband and all channels

@Minkyman23 i'm guessing the reason they won't transfer discounts is that the packages are different to Sky Q.

When Sky Q came out the packages available were different to Sky +HD

Re: Glass as a second TV?

@Minkyman23 seems not, to compete with Prime/Netflix subs are going month to month and for 4K Sky around the house you'll need to buy Glass for every room.

Perhaps Comcast think the U.K. is elite as the pound performs well in the markets & around the world with the exchange rate BUT the pound doesn't buy much at 'home'.

I enquired about a oldie for Glass and the Sport sub & Glass will be more than double, obvious most pensioners can't afford that!.

£41 Sports/Ultimate

£13 TV

£15 Multiscreen

£11 Ultra HD

£? Puck.
£5 Ad skip

So double the price monthly without even taking the extra Puck cost into consideration.

Sure having Sky Glass so anyone can pick up Sky on 31 day terms is great but not at that price!

Prime UHD £7.99

Netflix UHD £13.99

Sky lol just LOL.

I mean I could afford that for Glass to get Sky after all these years but not at that price!

Making prices double a month to substitute a 31 day contract is beyond crazy, you aren't competing with Netflix/Prime you are sending consumers to them, HD/4K Smart TVs with both apps or a £30 stick/box is cheap as chips then you have $ky overpriced 'option' - for the few.

Good luck with negotiations, however it looks like Sky new philosophy of making money is to make everyone pay top dollar, they won't.

@Laing1

I did get it right, I spoke to one of Sky minions in customer care going through the account, and that's what she said - the only benefit she said was "Sky Go remains free"

Re: Glass as a second TV?

I'm loooing to pay about £150 for a 55 and a 65 and every channel including BT sport and that's my broadband too... we shall see I guess, price list was helpful, as a new customer, fair enough,  but 18 years cust paying top wak every month, I need to see some deals in place big time!

Re: Glass as a second TV?

@GD1 it's actually Comca$t, Sky is just the EU brand.

Comcast: Xfinity.com go see how cheap it is for X IPTV & Broadband bundles verses Sky Glass, at the price Sky Glass want Sky Broadband/basic Fibre should be included at the very least.

UK paying back Sky Group EU 'debt' to Comcast at these prices.

@seanisky well she seems to have got it wrong as Sky glass doesn't have multiscreen(thats a sky Q package) it's called whole home and is £10 per month, UHD is also a Q package the equivelent on sky glass is Ultra HDR with atmos and costs £5.00 ad skip is free for the first 12 months then £5.00

Re: Glass as a second TV?

Either the agent got confused with the new information or the customer mixed everything up in their head.

I'm not a Sky agent but we don't get told of changes until the day of the launch or change so we don't let anything slip.
