Getting wired connection set up in a different room

Hi guys, I want to make a gaming set up in a separate room where there is no socket/port available to connect broadband router. I want to have a wired connection in that room. Can you guys please advise on how to get it sorted . Sorry if my question sounds stupid, im a bit thick 😛

You could perhaps  run a long cat5e cable from the router to the gaming device?

Or, make use of powerline adaptors, so the LAN traffic travels through the existing electrical circuit in the house. 
(it might sound odd, but can work well and is pretty straight forward)

If you'd rather not run a long ethernet cable from the router to the room then powerline adapters like @Skull+Treaty suggested are a good option to try first however they are not always stable and can often have ping spikes for gaming so you may find you need to use a direct ethernet cable
