Fitting a flash drive for recording

Is there anyway that Sky can update the system so I can plug in a flash drive etc so when I pause a program it records on it , it will make it a lot better as if I pause for anything than a few mins it resets

@Dazzar51  Unlikely to happen, the TV isn't designed to have external or internal drives.  There would also be rights issues involved.

Sky state that the usb is power only however I have a feeling it's more than that. 

The reason why is that say for updates etc they would need a way of accessing the storage to push this update in the factory. 

More likely it's this usb c port they use however software is programmed to only charge.

Extremely unlikely: the USB-C port is there to facilitate the attachment of the motion capture camera accessory (to be released this year) rather than any form of external storage.

But then you want a dvr which is what Q and +  was.

Your subscription covers streaming live TV over the internet and cloud recording stuff sky  has rights to.

To me I think £10 a month not £26 expecially with all the caveats.

I do think it's about time they discounted this service until they get it to work longer than an hour
