Sky Glass Usage
Quick query, for example if I watch a channel on sky glass (itv for example). How much data would this use per hour? Interested to see how much it would be a day

Re: Sky Glass Usage
It's hard to say with out knowing exacting the data consumption rate Glass uses and that depends on what compression technology sky uses.
However 5 Mbps for "the best video and audio experience" (according to Netflix) and the internet says Youtube utilises about 3.5-8 Mb/s…
So multiply by 60 to get minutes then by 60 again to get hours.
eg 5Mbps x 60 = 300Mb
300Mb x 60 = 18,00Mb to get to hours
18,000 Megabits = 2.25Gb
i think my maths is right but had a long day!

5Mbs is too low to use as a figure for HD, and way too low for UHD. A minimum 10Mbs / 25 Mbs is more realistic.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
