Wonder if this fixes the remote control issues?

I think the remotes are more to do with manufacturing faults.

Mostly to get the revised FALD algorithm in place, I'd think, as that got a fair amount of press attention.
At least the updates keep coming that's a positive but they never seem to knock issues on the head as soon as one is resolved more raise their ugly head.

This has been a year in the making for local dimming to be enabled.

Apparently there is a software fix for a remote issue but probably for the false low battery warning people have been getting. The remotes which are DOA are most likely a manufacturing issue but apparently it is not as common as reading the forum may imply.

So what do we do about the faulty remotes?
What's the best number to ring?

If the twisting method doesn't resurrect your remote (it worked for mine) then look on the MySky app. Go to the VIP section and scroll to the bottom for Sky VIP Service. There's a number in there. When I used it I got straight through and they sent a replacement remote within a day or two.

You will be fortunate to receive a replacement within a day or two. My replacement has just arrived on day eighteen! There was no advance warning from Sky or DPD, it just turned up. Luckily I was in to receive it otherwise it would have been taken away again! DPD insist on being able to photograph it in your open door.
Hopefully this might indicate that Sky have received a new batch and others may not have to wait as long as me.

I just read on another thread that this release brings "significant" changes.
So as anybody who has received the update noticed anything?
Perhaps not so much as new but failings that have now been cleared up.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Anonymous you could have read this thread as most are mentioned there but to save you that effort
1) the local dimming feature on Glass now works bringing significant picture improvements.
2) there are changes to restart with new less obtrusive gaphics and extended time the function will work
3) the UHD picture break up issue is addressed
4) the CEC issue on Stream which affected ARC appears to be fixed.
5) tweaks to the remotes firmware to improve performance
Whether you consider that significant is down to you but as an owner of a Glass TV the picture improvements are most welcome. So far the various fixes are working.

Glad to hear the CEC issue is fixed on the pucks. It's been very annoying.
I'm still on 12... wonder when I'll get 13?

Thanks for the sarcastic comment!
I have read the thread but people tend to announce what's new I was wondering if noticeable bugs have been cleared that users have come across.

When I first got stream 3 of the 4 remotes were dead. I had 3 arrive next day with notification from Dpd
then couple of weeks later the one that had worked died. This time it took 5 days but had no notification!
