@Ladalout fair enough. One other point using a third party router will mean you lose your landline facility which reqires the Sky hub. Doesn't matter if you dont use that line of course but it is something to be born in mind. Also Sky suppport will require their hub to be connected in case of calling them to report any issues.

@Ladalout Pay a little extra and go with one of the smaller ISPs who will let you use what ever kit you want.  By far the best option if you want to use your own kit.

Its not sky stopping the router. The op idea is to authenticate thru dhcpv6 prefix delegation. And theres no sign of that functionality. . He should be able to bring it thru under client identifier dhcp 61
