Broadband Being Activated But No Phone Line In Property

Hi, I'm a brand new Sky customer and have just placed my order for broadband and TV. It says my broadband is being activated remotely, but there are no PSTN lines in my property? There is an old openreach box on the wall outside but there are no phone line boxes inside the house at all, What do I do?

A telephone number for Sky can be found at the bottom of this page - just hit the 'Need more help?' drop down box.

You should get a text message to confirm your line has been remotely activated on 14th, you can pretty much call anytime from then.

You'll be asking for a master socket installation, the team will arrange for an Openreach engineer to attend your property, they'll talk to you about where the socket can go, etc.

From my personal experience, you'll want the socket nearish a power socket, and to offer the best WiFi coverage, reasonably central in your home - although that isn't always possible.

I hope this is useful 🙂

Hi @SarahSunflower

Welcome to the Sky Community

When I moved into my current house, I had the same problem. The best thing to do is to wait for the line to activate and then get in touch with the contact centre who will arrange a socket installation for you.

Ah, that's great, thank you Mark - I was having a slight panic attack lol!

Many thanks.
