Returned sky equipment with their packaging well over a month ago now.
Today received a lovely letter from their debt collectors asking for £165 payment for non return threatening to escalate the matter. Not received any correspondence from Sky saying they had not received the goods until this. Anyway,had a feeling this would happen so kept tracking receipt as proof of return. How do I get this resolved promptly?

I think it is unusual to progress to Debt collectors without other correspondence.
There does seem to be problems with delays in getting returns properly registered as returned.

If you are using Safari I believe you must make sure that 'Hide IP adress' is not checked in settings to be able to see it - if you have difficulty finding that setting then may be try accessing here with another browser
