Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Annie+UK  a couple of screen copies would have worked for me had I known in advance.

As Sky have that data associated with my email address and Sky ID I have asked for copy of all the data that shows my email or Sky ID as this can be used to identify me.

I believe that Sky have to provide this information, they can make a nominal charge.

It will be interesting to see what I get.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

@Annie+UK  I appreciate you are here to help but I just wish i'd had a few minutes to do a bit oc copy and pasting from the list of things I had in SKY Nevermiss. I used to do this when i first started using the service but then I started to trust and rely on it so stopped doing that.

My anger and frustration is aimed at SKY and how they are treating us regualry customers, 20 years i've been with SKy and each year they treat me worse than the previous year.

I'll be perfrectly honest with you, I wish you hadn't said you knew it was happeneing and why, it just makes the rest of us feel even more frustrated. What is so secret that we can't be told why the decision was made?

So lets say theres a new movie out in the cinema and i just didn't get round to seeing it, with the never miss service i could just add it and wait for the email and set it to record from there simple. So what have sky done to replicate this service or replace it with something identical, I shall not hold my breath, poor poor customer service

They have done nothing to replicate this feature 👎🏻 They expect you to scan the movie premieres every week which is nothing like what we had 🙁💩💩💩💩

It not a huge secret as, to my surprise, they told all the Beta testers (normal sky customers like the rest of us), but it is not our place to pass this information on to the general forum population

@Annie+UK Perhaps some but not all Beta testers, I did not get told. Had we been told it would have helped me but like Oracles the NDA would have preventing me posting about it.

EDIT

@Eddie+Evans Beta testers have no special access to sky but have access to a forum where it has been moaned about as it came as a surprise.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

A NDA (non disclosure) can be honoured no problem, but surely the testers could still feed back the frustations because I bet Sky don;t read these forums

@bob1234 you  quoted the post where the betas were told the reason for the removal in the beta bunker forum , so you were told just after the removal with no advanced warning

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I reckon this has been removed because of commercial reasons. There's been times when I've caught something on never miss when it's been available on the sky store. They've probably worked that out. I honestly liked this so much that I'm prepared to leave sky over it. And if they say they cancelled it because of limited usage well that's just because it wasn't highlighted or pushed enough, probably for the same reasons as above.

Beta testers and Oracles alike have all given their feedback and not held back withTelling sky  how stupid we think the decision to remove this feature is and that their so called alternatives are totally unacceptable as they provide nothing like what Never Miss did

Sky do read the forums

@Annie+UK  On the beta forum the thread is similar to the one here and first dated 19/05/2020 04:37 PM it was just a moan and not information provided by Sky to Betas.

EDIT

It was posted on this forum first.

@bob1234 I started the thread on the Beta forum, after it had gone. I think what Annie means is that within that thread a Sky staff member did give the reason (albeit very broadly) for its removal. I don't know if the Oracles were given any more detail.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I am really disappointed they have terminated this service.  I use it a lot to find new programmes that I might like - much better than the Top Picks.  I find new programmes from Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere to try out.

Please reconsider Sky!
