Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I used the Never Miss service A LOT – had about 100 programmes stored to let me know via email when they would be on or the next series being shown.

The Top Picks - New Series replacement is not ‘an even better way’ as you advertise at all as you have check it all the flippin time!!   It doesn't in any way provide the same service as Never Miss did

Very disappointed in you Sky

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I think we can agree that SKY have decided what is the "better way" despite the functionality....

I'm new to this sommunity but do SKY ever actualy respond? Or is it just the "Oracles" who appear to know more about what is going on but are not allowed to tell us?

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

The really insulting thing is that the "better way" they are talking about already existed. There have been suggestions for a long time, both in general and when selecting your recordings. This is no "better way", is a cancelling of a service that cost them peanuts thinking they'll get more money from us through other means.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Hi

my feelings same as everyone else

1) service worked fine, far better than what's on offer now.

2) why not notified it was stopping so we could get our lists. The point of making a list and getting an email that an up and coming program/film was going to air meant you didn't have to spend hours trawling thru TV guides on paper and/or on sky box

3)  not happy . Please bring the service back

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I concur, the new replacement, does not offer the same facility as the Never Miss site, also it seemed very sudden. Will now make finding new TV series and films I missed more difficult,  An explanation would be appreciated.

Perhaps some enterprising person will replicate "never miss" on the internet I would be happy for it to be supported by advertising or pay a small subscription. It would be ironic if Sky then paid to advertise their services on it.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Sorry Annie, but you misunderstood my post.  I said that "I didn't find it helpful that the Oricle keeps saying that the reasons for removing this service is pathetic".  I understand that Sky has this School ground reason for not telling us their big secret, but to keep being reminded by you that you were told in advance and you were given the chance to go through your list makes it quite clear how unimportant us bill payers are to Sky.

After moving home I was unable to bring my far superior service with me, so I felt I had little other choice to get the channels I was used to.  Seeing as one of their engineers cut my phone off three times in a month whilst trying to connect next door (they watched and waited for us to leave so they could cut us off to give our cable to next door), which took over 6 months of either ignored communications or total incompetence to rectify and compensate, I would still leave Sky to go with them if they extended their service to my new home..... That is really saying something which Sky should listen to and maybe look at the service competitors are supplying to see if they can at least match it.

Btw, I hate this comment box, it jumps around so you can't see what you are typing and if you try to rectify a word in the middle of a sentence it ruins the whole sentence.  Sky can't even get their community section right! I also apparently used an invalid HTML.😕

Please don't take offence Annie, I am not trying to be confrontational, just speaking my mind.  This Coronavirus is difficult for us all and to lose a simple thing that we rely on for no good reason is really unnecessary and a really bad decision for Sky to implement now.

My rant is over, I am jumping off my soap box and am going to watch a comedy to make myself feel better, rather than Killer In Plain Sight which I have on pause. 😁

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Argh! So annoyed they've removed this. And especially because they've done it without any warning.

Not only can I not add new programmes to my list, I've lost all the ones I already had on there with no way of being able to get them back 😡

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

SKY this is 1 step forward and two back, i used the never miss service quite a lot and now you have removed it without consultation or warning I must say I am very disappointed and let down. Your proposed way of getting round this is useless to say the least. I wanted to add a couple of films tonight and boom never miss has gone.

Bring back Never Miss Service

The Never Miss web page is the easiest way to get to find what new shows are coming. Please bring it back.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Could SKY at least bring it back temporarily so we at least can get a list of the programs/films we had in it? The more I think about the way the normal bill payer has been treated here makes me more angree with SKY's attitude. It's all about them getting more money from us for the least possible service!

I would say that's very unlikely  I'm afraid.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

@Mark39  it's just annoying that they didn't give the rest of us bill payers the same courtesy as they did the "oracles". You were told this service was going and why, and therefor had time to get a list of your shows/films, we were told nothing and just had the service removed, no notice, no explanation.

Sorry, but this one rule for some and one rule for the rest annoys me., SKY should at least have the courtesy to explain their actions, or aren't the majority of us worth that?

@WnachaiGweilo We (Oracles) may have had a few days notice but would have been a pain to note down all movies and serieses as this would have been a manual process plus we were only told that there was a possibility that Never Miss was going

The Oracles are on the forum to help thus we get privileged information to perform this task

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

So lets say theres a new movie out in the cinema and i just didn't get round to seeing it, with the never miss service i could just add it and wait for the email and set it to record from there simple. So what have sky done to replicate this service or replace it with something identical, I shall not hold my breath, poor poor customer service
