Why should or want to do that I didn't have to do that with Never miss and don't want to now.

@Totalwar2

As soon as I get the info from Geektown I set a reminder on my Echo telling me when I can record the show. I generally set it to 6 days before it starts. You could also just set a reminder on your phone.

Not very good when tell a show going to be on within a week then it's useful but when it tells you weeks before not very useful at all.

BRING BACK SKY NEVER MISS

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Oh, this is just too amusing. My subscription is due for renewal and, like I do every time it is due for renewal, I make a list comparing Sky vs. its competitors.

In this morning's analysis, I have only three things in the + column for Sky:

+ two channels only available to me through Sky: ComedyCentralExtra, and W

+ the Never Miss service.

For these three things I would have to pay £21.55 more than the competitor who can offer everything else I use. So, when I searched for an alternative to Never Miss I find this thread and the news that it's been removed.

So I guess this really simplifies my dilemma - renew and pay £21.55 to access two channels I only watch to see repeats or move to a competitor and probably find those repeats in their box set service.

If Sky removed this feature to drive us to the Top Picks/New Series because they're not getting the viewing numbers for new series, then they're shooting themselves in the foot. They serve completely different purposes.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I  would be very interested to know which competitors provide all the other channels I now get from Sky as I was under the impression sky was unique. Please let me know ready for when my renewal is due.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Just to be absolutely clear: I am not comparing all channels available with Sky vs all channels available with competitors; only the channels I watch.

The cheapest option in the UK would be Freeview or Freesat + NowTV entertainment (still Sky but a fraction of the cost). But I want HD and multiroom so I'm looking at other TV subscription packages.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Whilst the loss of NeverMiss is a pain as is the effective loss of MyPhotos, all European football and the three Sky Sports guys on Soccer Saturdays plus the new Sky Q upgrade is less han satisfying all these things give you great bargaining power to renegotiate your contract and Sky do give great deals when you're thinking of leaving.  Don't foregt of you leave Sky you'll lose Sky Atlantic

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Please please for the sake of us who don't understand, explain the  initials you use and other 'hidden to me' things you mention.

'I've had a response to CEO email' for instance.   What is CEO?    What is Never Miss?    Do you mean Series Link? (which does not work at all well).

I'm trying without success to find out how I am notified (Google does not tell me) if someone replies to a question I've just posted on Sky Q Community Forum.

A CEO is a head of a business.

Never Miss which this long topic is discussing was a web based service you could use to get an email alert when a program you were interested in was due to be broadcast. It has now been closed down by Sky.

I have replied to your thread in the Q forum.

@Filroden

Now tv is a great option for multi room, as you can have 6 devices (I think 3 or 4 at any one time) and most smart tv's have the app. If not, the streaming sticks are fairly inexpensive and generally get bundled with passes. (If you find an offer it can be cheaper to buy a new stick than buy the passes separately).
