The simple answer is to use the quote button which looks like two commas "

However it's not obvious on some devices  where you have to press the three dots (. . .)  first and missing completely on some devices."

Let's see if this works.......

@73mckat that's ok, but not quite what I meant (my fault). I meant the quote button in the row of tools immediately above the Reply box, rather than on your keyboard. But on some devices it's missing.

When I first select reply I get 2 rows of icons (including the 3 dots ...), but then the second row disappears and I only have the top row.

Yep, that's a known forum bug.

Edited to add: if it's a handheld device, try landscape instead of portrait or vice versa to see if the icon row sticks.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I have a Virgin Media TiVo box which has great search facilities. It can find CatchUp and OnDemand content but also programmes, series and movies that have yet to be shown. You can set up searches by title, individual name (particular actor, director etc.) or keyword.

The only downside is that it is prone to recording more than you want but there are lots of filter options that you can add to narrow the search. For example, if you ask it to record episodes of 'Lost' new and reruns, you will get everything with the word 'lost' in the title, keyword list etc. However, you can add extra filters for genre, actor, director etc. to narrow the search considerably.

There are other advantages and comparative disadvantages too. Sky Never Miss gives you advance warning that a show is coming soon but won't record it so if you are in lockdown away from home you may still miss it. However, as with Sky, you can watch remotely through the Virgin Media Go app or set up recordings remotely too.

I'm not familiar with the Virgin Media V6 box but I imagine that it may have even better facilities.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Usually, when an online service is being withdrawn, you are given advance notice and read-only access to your content settings for a period of anything from a week to a year. This is what happened when Google withdrew their Google+ service where users had read-only access for a year to archive and download all of their historical content on the site.

One possibility for the abrupt, no notice withdrawal of Sky Never Miss is that it is for 'legal reasons'. That term can cover a lot of ills from Sky selling Never Miss users' data to third parties without their consent to losing users' data to hackers due to careless security of their data.

Sky may not have been running the Never Miss service themselves and has fallen out with their service provider or the service provider has gone bust due to lockdown and Sky have no access to the users' data from the site.

There are more questions than answers ...

Be wary of anyone asking for your e-mail address or other personal details 'in advance' of setting up a new service. Opportunists are always watching for issues like this to crop up so that they can sweep in and take advantage.

Coronavirus COVID-19 will be a boon for these parasites as was PPI, the failure of Thomas Cook etc. This time there will be so many companies gone into administration that they will have their choice of who to target to take advantage of.

Re: Can't find page to enter never miss programmes please help me !!!!

Like many of the community I am very disappointed with Sky for removing the very good and useful tool "Sky Never Miss". I have looked at their replacement on Sky Q TV Guide, and to be quite frank it is a wate of space.  You need to remember which season/series you last watched and most of all the name of the programmes that you like. Also the day's and channels that they are shown on, this in inself is a manger headache when they change from one channel to another. This is where the emails that you receive came in to their own, by giving you the time, date and channel you need to watch out for. My lady wife and I do a lot of recording of the programmes we like and do not alway's see when a new season/series is coming out. So we can miss them without knowing that they restarted again.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Is there a way we can complain to Sky about Never Miss being taken off? I am absolutely gutted. I rely on it so much. Sky does not automatically record series that watched or recorded previously so I relied on Never Miss...🤬🤬
