Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I totally agree with you. I’ve just used the new system and of the 34 suggestions it made for me I would not voluntarily watch one of them. No notification was really bad tho as how would you know if you’d missed something it was set to notify of.

Please feel free to use & subscribe to this thread - Never Miss 2.0 - on the What's On board which is run by community members. It's not quite the same as NM, but until Sky do something about giving us back the original in some shape or form, it's the best we can do.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I have just sent the following to Sky through their complaints page.

I would like to complain about
Sky’s withdrawal of the ‘Never Miss’ service. Like numerous other disgruntled customers I am appalled at the way we have been treated and not even been sent advanced warning. Obviously Sky do not care about customer requirements and thinks it knows better. As many viewers will tell you, the alternative to ‘Never Miss’ is so time consuming that it will hardly be used and many programmes that would have been watched now will be missed. Fewer watchable programs means fewer customers. I have been a customer for 19 years at my current address and many years before that and I have never been so disgusted with Sky. Just take a look at all the complaints about this on the forum, more are being added each day. This is damning to Sky’s reputation. I regularly respond to surveys online and have completed several for Sky. In the next one I will say exactly what I think in the light of this complaint.
Sky keep saying they are improving our services, well this is the biggest mistake they have made. It’s only a matter of time before it goes viral. So please reinstate this valued service in order to keep your customers happy.

Re: Never miss

How am I supposed to know when a show is coming back then? I feel like I'm going to be missing a lot of shows as a result.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Business decision is a poor cop out! I've used Never Miss for a very long time and knowing when programmes on disperate channels would return was invaluable

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Doesn't much help me keep track of when new seasons of shows are coming back though! I watch a lot of stuff cop shows like Hawaii Five oh and all the arrowverse shows and twd and the orville any one of these could come back and I'd not know until it was too late

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I continue to be baffled by this decision, but from the various responses from sky I think NM is gone for good.

One option could be the introduction of a netflix-style watch list, where you can put a list of tv shows on there and get reminders of returning series. It doesn't help with films, brand new series or reminders for older series like NM did, but it would at least give parity with Netflix.

It should also be easy to introduce as Nowtv uses a watch list and that's sky's own product (it doesn't have the reminder functionality; but that can't be hard to implement).

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

On top of the  disappointment of losing never miss the replacement page has actually has the nerve to say there's now a better way,  in what way is having to manually check for new series better that never miss? Perhaps they'd like to remove series link too and make it better by making me put each episode in videoplus style. Very disappointed with sky on this

@Skyuser1981  If you're not already aware of it, this site may be of use to you for the sort of programmes you watch.
