Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I honestly to not think that Sky, as a corporation, give a darn about their customers.  As long as they are getting their subscription money each month, that is that.....and they sort of have a monopoly for TV viewing.  I have heard horror stories about Virgin.....and other companies....  I find this whole situation disgraceful, on the part of Sky.  They should care as we, the paying public, are the ones that are keeping their employees in jobs and also keeping the company going!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

If only Amazon were in the TV business, i.e. one could buy the same sort of package from them.....they are brilliant and I am a Prime Amazon member so get extra special care from them.  I too buy my DVD films from them now.

Yes, the series links should automatically record the series....they sometimes do but it does not always work.  I record dozens of series.......and have been for years....so know, that it does not always work....in the past I got a message from Never Miss and would set my recorder......   Never Miss also told which station it would be on.....shame on you Sky!

Re: Never Miss

As a sky subscriver for many years, I can say this was a great feature I used to keep notified of new shows coming up, aswell as letting me know when previous series of a show I missed would be coming on, I am very disappointed it has been removed.  I am also very disappointed we had no email or letter notification of the removal of this servies.  Sky are usually very good at notifying of new features, offers, or when there is a price increase, all of which drive Revenue, but not so good at communicating this loss of a very useful user function.

@aferns

Ridiculous I think I will cancel my sky

I think you won't, once you realise that's a disproportionate over-reaction. You're pretty much guaranteed to 'Always Miss' if you do that.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

@Carrrie I totally agree with you there, I have also noticed failures in the Series links not recording when a new/continued season comes on, the same as you I have relied upon NM to let me know, also don't think Series Link can cope if the new series has been [transferred to/been taken over by] another channel.

I am wondering if it is because SKY cannot fix the record problem of NM that they have decided to do away with it, the record function hasn't worked for me for ages now, I have always had to do the record manually, but that has never been a problem.

Re: Sky Never Miss?!

Yes - Skys recomendations are total **bleep** - I dn't watch sport and will NEVER subscribe to Sky sport so JUST DONT BOTHER - this is all about fleacing customers and selling shows NO ONE LIKES.

Re: Sky Never Miss?!

I already don't watch very much on Sky and this will push it lower. It's very close to that magic threshold where I ditch Sky and move to Netflix - where I can always find shows I want to watch!

Never Miss

Sorry to be a pain and I know I don't use the site often, but how do I get on to 'Never Miss' - so many programmes I really want to receive reminders for in the future - unless It's no longer available?

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I agree....and once a few years ago I phoned Sky and after hanging on for about half an hour playing games on my computer.....I spoke to someone who took me through several different steps....and nothing worked or course I could have told her that....anyway, I duly went into the lounge and switched on the TV taking the phone with me and as I said did as she was telling me to........nothing....so I said look thanks, I have tried all that....so I just record it manually when I get a notification from Never Miss....and she said you will be asked to rate this call at the end and I said that is fine....and rated her a 2......the whole exercise was futile....

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I use Geektown which gives a list of new and returning shows. I also subscribe to TVGuide.co.uk who email me every day with new series starting that day. However I had a number of shows listed on Never Miss which were past series that I had missed. Never going to get these back now as I wont be able to rememeber which series I was up to. They could have at least warned us it was going to disappear and I could have noted them down. Really disappointed!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I'm new to these discussions and i'm curious if anyone from SKY ever responds to the comments made? Are they scared to comment here because people are angry? I do feel sorry for the "oracles" they've come in for some grief, from me included and for which I apologise, they have no real influence over the decisions SKY makes.

All I know that I have been a customer of SKY for 20 years and I will not be completing my 21st year given the disgusting way they treat there loyal customers, i shal be cancelling my contract at a convenient point.

@WnachaiGweilo Yes, Sky staff do monitor and post comments on the forum. Yet it's unlikely that they will comment further on this thread (though they will be aware of its growing content) as they've said all they are going to say it seems. That is, that it was taken down for reasons that they're not prepared to tell us.
