Discovery plus app

I have added discovery plus to my sky subscription however the app just hasn't downloaded onto my box, how long does it take as I have waited for 8hrs now???

Hi @Dougers77 

If you haven't already try rebooting the main Q box. Switch the box into standby with the remote. Then disconnect the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnect. 

The next option is to refresh the Apps in the hidden menu if a reboot doesn't help

 

To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings. With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.

Go down to Apps and refresh on the right hand side

Thanks for that, but it didn't work for me.  I just get -

You've already added this package to your Sky subscription

You can start watching shortly. Channel upgrades usually take a few minutes but please allow up to 4 hours.

For app upgrades please make sure you have set up your account and signed in. 

Error code: DSU_508

It's been like this since 19/11 lunch time.   Beginning to tear my hair out as nothing works!  I didn't get the page with 6 figure code....

Providing you have creating a discovery+ account name, the nest step in order to get your 6 digit PIN, In sky q apps menu, do not click on disc+ icon in 'get more from sky'

 

Instead click on disc+ icon in'featured'  and then scroll past first two options to bottom , something like continue on or something like that.

Click on that and it should bring up your PIN which you then type in to the page on your computer screen where it asks for it.

I tried to get discovery+ on skyQ last night and the app has completely disappeared. It says i have to wait upto 4 hours and has the error message too. Ive tried rebooting and refreshing the apps but nothing works. How do I get this app back on my tv??!! I can access it on my phone but i want it on my tv. Getting so frustrated!

Nope tried that doe not work for me. I did have the app before i signed up then it went away!. Have done teh turn off and 001 etc to no avail

Same. Apparently I can only get my pairing/activation code from Disc+ in the featured apps section. Except it's not in my featured apps section. Tried everything, turning power off and on again, refreshed my apps, nothing. Pulling my hair out now!

Update your software on your skyQ box should read Q130 at the start of the version number. Then put the box in standby when its done. About 10 mins. Restart box.

Then Sign into discovery+ on the internet then choose device from the tab on the right. Leave that open on either your phone or computer.

 

No go back to sky apps and see if the app has appeared. May take a while. Mone took 45mins. 

 

Once there sign in the app and your code will appear. Enter that on your phone or computer.

I'll let you know how I get on, currently updating. It was showing Q120 so fingers crossed it was that

I have this same problem aswell, app has gone from the menu and I have done a system update and refreshed the apps still no discovery plus app.

Don't bother as you can't watch half of the stuff because you have to upgrade,funny sky failed to mention it costs 4.99 a month to upgrade,another con by sky

@Kev230261  Not sure why you putting out no truths? You are doing it wrong if you are getting charged £4.99 per month. It is free for Sky q customers.
