I removed HD from my subscription. Picture had been HD perfect on original subscription
Recently reactivated it but still have no HD picture. Rang Sky, they told me all looks fine their end. Up graded to Sky Q yesterday and still no HD
picture even though menu shows HD channels available. New card inserted into boxed and successfully paired. Tried to ring Sky again, no call options due to technical issues they were having, got through to them via messaging service. They took off HD and reconnected again, still no joy. Head melted, no HD.

Hi @Ewood1
First thing to try if you haven't already is a main Q box reboot.
To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote, then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote.
note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.
If a reboot doesn't help then try a Reset Settings in the hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhat resolution is your box set to in its Audio Visual settings? Is it at least 1080?
Have you logged into your account to check that HD pack is definitely in your package lineup?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Ewood1 I am slightly confused by your description of the problem.
Are you able to access HD channels and the picture seems to be only SD or can you not access any HD channels ?
You say you upgraded to SKY Q yesterday - so have you only just got your SKY Q box ?

Hello @nigea99 yes we have the option to view HD channels, as verified by Sky, however they are only viewed on screen in SD

@Rhonny thanks for advice, yes checked settings...they are at 1080. Rang Sky and they confirmed the HD package is active.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHI @Ewood1 I would sugest resetting your Video settings in the AV settings ,
perhaps by resetting to the default first by Pressing Home 1 0 8 0 Home
& then going back into Settings -> Setup -> Audio Visual & set appropriately for your TV

With the greatest respect, things went South.. When I followed your instructions by the letter the the Sky signal was lost. By carrying out instructions as you state the Sky remote losses contact to the sky box...no Sky signal for hours until yoy find another solution. I had to call sky this morning to rectify. By depressing numbers 3 and 1 simultaneously on the Sky Q remote I could then regain control of my Sky box !!!!

Hi @Ewood1 Have you checked that you are paying for the add on HD subscription in your SKY package?
Otherwise you will only be able to view SD content

I have this same issue. I am SUPPOSED to have HD yet I can clearly see I don't. In my account it says HD recently cancelled. This wasn't by me. I am not paying for HD either. Sky told me to go to TV settings and if shows HD in the menu then I am getting HD. Either sky Q is of much interior quality or I am not getting HD. Anything that isn't close to the camera is out of focus. I ask to revert to HD and they said no so I cancelled.
The sky Q system is rubbish. There is no reminder, no date on the EPG, no recycle bin. The remote and how it all comes together is worse than my android TV. The old system just flowed. Yes I know it was slower and a bit dated but if something isn't broken then don't fix it. Sky have now broken it.
In a week we have had the main box asking for a pin to view bbc1. Two crashes on the main box. A failure to record F1 qualifying yet still set up in series link. Small amounts of pixelation on fast moving frames which is definitely not my Sony TV. The mini box broke on day 1 and was stuck in a standby loop. If I had bought this system from the high street they would now have it back and I wouldn't want another.
Any recommendations for a decent Freesat box.

Hi @Smartguy1 You will need to call Sky and talk to an advisor about fixing your problems with Sky TV!
