Devialet compatible with Alexa?

Is it possible to connect the Sky Devialet Soundbar to Alexa?

@steveorchard  I have my Sky Soundbox connected to my Amazon Echo Show via Bluetooth

Then I say " Alexa connect my devices " it will search for the Soundbox even if it's in standby mode once found it will say "bluetooth device connected" confirmation from the Soundbox

Then I just say "Alexa play music" and the sound comes out of the Soundbox not the Echo Show

When I have finished listening to music I just say" Alexa disconnect devices"

I've also connected my Sky Q 2TB Box to the Echo Show to play music via the Sky Q box connected via bluetooth

Then when I say "Alexa connect devices" it switches everything on TV,Sky Q and Soundbox ready to stream music via Bluetooth 

When I say "alexa disconnect devices" Sky Q home screen is shown and the Soundbox switches back to HDMI automatically.

@steveorchard When you select Bluetooth with the Sky Soundbox remote do you hear confirmation that the Soundbox is in discovery mode.

If you are not hearing the confirmation that it's in Discovery mode I tend to just reboot my Sky Soundbox switch of at the mains count to 10 then switch power back on.

Once the Soundbox has rebooted slowly cycle through  the outputs on the Soundbox remote HDMI,Optical,Bluetooth wait for confirmation Bluetooth  discovery mode check the front of the Soundbox for the flashing red light indicates it's in pairing mode.

Then just ask alexa" discover devices " then you should get confirmation from the Soundbox " Bluetooth device  connected"

This works via the  Fire Tv  Stick 4K with the new Amazon Voice Remote with volume control once set up via the Fire Tv Settings menu your Sky Sound box  will appear in the Alexa app as a new device.

As the Sky Soundbox  is not a wireless speaker you couldn't add it to the Amazon Alexa app but as you can connect it  via the Fire Tv  Stick 4K  it then becomes a wireless speaker.

@best+of+the+best  I am trying to connect the Soundbox to my Echo Plus 2nd Gen - I have the Soundbox in Bluetooth pairing mode and Alexa fails to find it, any ideas, please?

Hi @TechmanagerMal The quickest way is to set it up via the Alexa app on your mobile device

My Echo Plus is in the Guest Room but as I've got various Amazon Devices around the house the preferred speaker for the Guest Room is Sky Soundbox which is connected to the Echo Plus via Bluetooth.

In the Alexa App select All devices then select Echo Plus from the list.

Select Bluetooth Devices then put your Sky Soundbox into pairing mode you'll get a voice confirmation to say the Bluetooth device is connected.

Next scroll down to connected devices and just change it to your Bluetooth speaker which will be the Sky Soundbox (xxxx)

@best+of+the+best  Thanks for that I figured it out myself that far but it means the Soundbox has to be switched to blue tooth manually as Alexa says she doesn't know how?

@TechmanagerMal  When my Soundbox is on standby I just say "Amazon play music" and the soundbox turns on by it's self you can also say "Amazon connect speaker " Echo Plus will say "searching" you will then get confirmation from the Soundbox saying "Bluetooth device connected" then say "Amazon disconnect speaker" the Echo plus gives a confirmation sound

Any idea how to teach her to do the same for my LG 3D Smart TV which would then turn on the 2 TB Sky Q box and the soundbox, I have tried so many remote control apps but cannot find one to "wake on lan"

@TechmanagerMal The only way I've done it is by connecting the Sky Q 2TB Box to my Echo Show via Bluetooth to stream music as this turns everything on Tv, Sky Q, Soundbox.

With my Sky Q set up and everything in standby I say Alexa"connect devices" you should get confirmation bluetooth device connected and visual confirmation tv and soundbox will be turned on with Sky Q.

If you are not wanting to stream music just say"Alexa disconnect devices you'll get confirmation that bluetooth device is disconnected and you will also get visual confirmation Sky Q will go to the Home screen as the source is selected automatically

Once the bluetooth has been disconnected sound from your Sky Q will come out of the soundbox without the need to select it with the Soundbox Remote.

Another option is to use the Amazon Fire Cube

Any help appreciated. 
I can't pair my Soundbox to Amazon Echo dot to use the Soundbox as a Bluetooth speaker?

Using the Alexa app, the app sees and lists the soundbox, but when I click on it to pair, after a short while Alexa announces "your device wasn't paired". Any ideas?

Hi @A+flying+pig  You need to assign an Echo Dot to the Sky Soundbox first 

1. Open the Alexa app make sure you Echo Dot is set up and online.

2. Select All devices then select the Echo Dot you want to use with the Sky Soundbox

3. In the selected Echo Dot menu scroll down to 

Bluetooth Devices.

4. Select this then select Pair a new device

5. Make sure the Sky Soundbox is in Discovery Mode

6. Once the Echo is connected to the Sky Soundbox you may have to adjust the volume on the Echo before sound can be heard from the Soundbox Then adjust the level with the Sky Soundbox remote.

Mine's set at 25 percent on the Echo Dot within the Alexa app.
