Daytime pin

While I'm aware that Sky have to follow the outdated Ofcom garbage, when attempting to watch a Sky Atlantic programme originally scheduled for 9pm but was going to watch on +1 - ie 10pm I'm still getting asked for a pin which is ridiculous.  As the name implies it is a DAYTIME pin and therefore should not be required after the so called "watershed" of 9pm.

You'll need to point your complaint towards OFCOM as they make the rules

Most likely to be a glitch in the delivery platform which was never designed for the change to PIN control which took effect  from 01/01/2019.  +1 channels are a historic anomaly anyway.

That's not the point, Sky have decided to impose a Daytime PIN on certain channels and therefore no PIN controls should exist after 9pm

I think you'll find that OFCOM have made broadcasters to do this, it was not "decided" by Sky

After a consultancy period in 2018, Ofcom modified the Broadcasting Code to permit channels to carry 'post-watershed' content before 21:00 as long as such content is behind PIN control which cannot be removed by a subscriber. As I indicated, the spill-over of this Mandatory Daytime Protection on +1 channels to 22:00 is likely to be the legacy of an antique broadcast platform unable to cope with such changes which it was never specified for.
