Current update how long does it take...??

My skyQ box is currently updating to the latest software but has been showing " updating software. Step 1 of 2" for over 3 hours....has anyone experience of how long this usually takes...?? Thanks

It can take up to about half an hour. I'd turn the box off at the wall for 30 secs and then back on again and try again.

 

If your software shows as Q150 already, then no need to manually update it.

If your software shows as Q150 already, then no need to manually update it.

I have had to change a faulty main Q box which was on Q150 my replacement one is on Q050 (not a typo)

I have selected update software and it just shows "updating software" it has been like that for a couple of hours.

Previously I got fed up waiting and did a power off/on reset, everything works OK including mini boxes although obviously it is missing Netflix etc etc.

Might be an idea to follow the 'My Sky q box won't turn on' procedure, which has a few tricks that also include the software update.

@RhonnyThanks, I have been all through those, eventually it just decided to update.
