Charging me for Sky Sports even though I cancelled.
I cancelled my Sky Sports on 01-Apr-20. I see today that for this month of May, they will still be chargin g me £30 for it. I've been holding on the phone for almost an hour and I doubt if anyone will answer my call.
What can I do? I'm getting fed up with SKY - seems like they intentionally do not answer calls for existing customers who have account problems. I bet if I was a new customer, the phone would be answered within 5 rings.

Re: Charging me for Sky Sports even though I cancelled.
It's perfectly normal - no reason to call them.
Your next bill will recognise the cancellation and generate a corresponding credit. (You have to give 31 days notice to remove items - and billing continues completely as normal until that passes - bills are generated 14 days before billing date)

@Harry1001 If you cancelled on 1st April you have to give 31 days notice and billing continues as normal until the last day of the notice period
your may bill would have been generated whilst your were still in your notice period and therefore must be paid
any Overpayment should appear on a future as credit once the notice period expired so check your future bills here

You have to give 31 days notice to cancel it so any bills created during these 31 days like your May bill will see it appear on there by the following months bill should not only see it no longer on there but you should see a credit for the days you have overpaid on it so have you looked at your future bills ?

Thanks all who replied. I eventually got through to SKY and they said what you guys have mentioned - that yes, I have been over-charged, and that next months bill will be reduced by the same amount of the over-charge.
