Channel 5 freezes on Sky+

Channel 5 on Sky+ has been freezing briefly recently,  Temporary loss of sound also.  No other channels do this, just Channel  5 so not suspecting a poor signal as the reason.  Seen same issue with Sky Glass, but not Sky+.

What are the Signal Strength/Qualities in the Sky Box setting?

Not checked the signal strength as it is only happening on Channel 5.

Not seeing any loss of sound here on channel 5, so it doesn't look like a broadcast problem, but there might be the occasional glitch on programmes you're watching that I'm not.. Check your signal strengths as suggested, after tuning to channel 5.

We have had  the same issue for the last 2 days only on Channel 5

I really don't understand the reluctance.... 

 

It would at least rule out poor signal as a possibility.

signal is stable, it's only channel 5 that has the problem just like TB1250 posted

Looks like it might be a problem with Channel 5, then. Hopefully it's temporary and will be resolved quickly.

Thanks for the replies. At least it doesn't appear to be just me with this issue. I noticed a few weeks ago channel 5 had a symbol in the top right corner of the screen. I think it was because they had a technical problem (or fire I think) and were using a different transmitter. Temporary hangover from that possibly.

Just happened to me twice, sound dropped out for about 3 seconds and the picture jumped like it was a bad signal. Perhaps they're still on their backup system, or maybe the broadcast place hasn't been fully repaired yet.

Yep, been happening to me also for over a week. Only Channel 5 programming affected.

Yep I have had the same issue for around 2 weeks. Only with channel 5. Watching a programme now and it has frozen very briefly with loss of sound 3 times. 
I did notice when I googled the issue before clicking the link here that there was someone else also asking the same question on a Virgin forum. Clearly it's channel 5 that are having issues
