**bleep**. Sky charge the fee, promotion their range, and sell directly to customers on that basis.  It is up to them to advise customers if what WE pay SKY for is no longer delivered by Sky

If you're referring to the music channels removed, then as explained multiple times, you don't pay for them. They're not part of your subscription.

Incorrect. When people decide to purchase or renew a subscription, they do so on the basis of what is contained as part of the 'bundle'.  There are absolutely NO channels whatsoever that Sky allow any person to access without at least a basic subscription.

That isn't correct, after all you can access bbc 1, bbc 2, itv 1, ch4 and ch5 without a basic subscription and these music channels were the same when they were available.

I think you're confusing Sky with Saorview.   You can't access BBC1 (or any other of those channels you mentioned ) etc. without a Sky box, and you can't use a Sky box without a minimum subscription -- so yes, it's part of the basic service. As are what they have previously promoted/marketed as part of their packages - and they promote music channels as being available to suscribers. A lot of Sky employees defending this action !!!

Try no paying the monthly bill, and see what happens with your decoder card -- It is deactivated.  You won't be looking at any channels via Sky, .

@DissatisfiedDub Try taking your Viewing Card out. That will show you all the channels that you can receive without a Sky subscription.

It has all been explained ad nauseam before, if you feel that strongly enough about it, by all means raise a complaint with Sky.

I haven't seen any Sky employees posting here.

With a Sky+ box if you cancel your package you then get access to the free channels so yes you can use your Sky+ box to watch them without any paid subscription on it.

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - December 2020

Sky continually increase annual fees, whilst reducing what's on offer to Customers.   They 'rope' people in, then take stuff away.   It's no wonder theres a huge market in 'dodgy' decoder boxes out there.  Whatever watery justification is out there is irrelevant -- I think the number of comments from subscribers speaks volumes.

Have you complained to Sky? What was their response?

I will be complaining tomorrow -- when normal business hours resume.
