For me both kerrang and magic music channels are playing the box music channel even though it says it's magic/kerrang and shows what magic/kerrang is currently playing

Channel 4 (including The Box group of music channels) are having big problems since a fire at Red Bee Media on Saturday night. Fingers crossed they will get it sorted today.

Exactly what I said in that tweet. Red Bee playout the channels and due to a fire supression system being triggered (which is good for a fire, bad for disrupting system components) in Broadcast Centre, many channels are down.
Even though it happened Saturday night, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are still on their DR (disaster recovery) back up systems. (C5 indicated by the white and black triangles in the top right, C4 by the channel logos being more opaque with the white being solid white, no transparency). The BBC is most likely still on their back up system in Salford.
The Box Plus Network is different as they don't have direct back ups that they can use. On Saturday night the channels were blank but the graphics still working as normal, displaying the song titles that should have been playing. 4Music, Box Hits, The Box and Kiss were back on air after a few hours, but they had a hard time getting Kerrang! and Magic back on air, both playing back up DR playlists overnight which repeated for many hours and into Sunday.
Kerrang! returned to its main feed on Sunday morning, but was still blank and stayed on it for a few hours, later in the afternoon it switched to another back up which was just two songs repeated over and over. It was then decided that as The Box was working, both Kerrang! and Magic would simulcast with it until fixed. Then as of this morning, 4Music has joined the simulcast. Box Hits and Kiss are still working, playing music and adverts, but their graphics aren't displaying.

During live performances and in the black and white promotional television clip, Brown performed the song wearing a burning helmet. The helmet was improvised with a leather skull cap onto which was bolted a metal dish that held lighter fluid or petrol. As the cap was not insulated, the heat from the burning fuel quickly conducted through the fixing bolt to the top of Brown's head, causing him considerable pain.

I don't like any of the other music channels - tedious rap stuff that all sounds the same or boy/girl band tripe are NOT for me! I've read the posts explaining the reasons for Kerrang being AWOL, but **bleep** how much longer is it going to take for them to fix it??????

Nothing has yet been confirmed by Red Bee about the cause, but it's suggested that it is quite bad as the fast release of gas/carbon dioxode by the fire suppression system also caused a sonic wave which is what has broken the systems (The side effect of a fast put out for fires involving electrics). Latest rumours suggest it may be days or weeks (at absolute worst) before fully restored.
The Box Plus channels won't be back on for a while though as they aren't priority. Getting BBC One, BBC Two, Channel 4 and Channel 5 back on their main systems is high priority at the moment.

Channel 4 HD has the triangles (if they are triangles) in the upper left of the screen and I cannot notice anything different with Channel 5 HD.

Based off your times of posting, I will note that the DR indicator doesn't appear during Milkshake, probably due to the different on screen graphics being used. It only appears on programming, so is most likely tied to the channel DOG/logo.

I think it's fairly clear that they're still working on it.

Think Box Plus are expecting a wait as they've now updated 4Music's EPG data to...
4Music Presents The Box
4Music is experiencing technical issues. Meanwhile, we present programming from our sister channel The Box. We're working hard to resume our normal services. We'll let you know when we do

@samlewis6 I agree it has been painful these last few days. I keep flicking through other channels to find anything else bearable. Any suggestions welcome 🙄
