Internet not working again! 😕

I live in the Northerst of England and recently, the internet/WiFi has long periods when it's not working which, is especially frustrating when I'm working from home and in the middle of doing something important.  It's happening that often, it's no longer reliable and, I'm having to regularly use my mobile data to set up a hotspot just so I can work and my son can do his homework. At a time when every penny counts, it's an expense I can really do without .  Consequently,  I'm paying for a service that I'm not getting and I've had enough of being ripped off!   I've tried absolutely everything to resolve the issue, I've switched it off/on, I've reset the router, I've tried reconnecting it, but nothing makes any difference! At what point is Sky going to take responsibility and resolve this matter. I've been a loyal Sky customer for many years but unless things change, I'll be looking to end my contract.

Sky please do better!

Re: Is everyone else’s sky down?

Sounds like it could be if it's not just Sky.

I guess we have to "watch this space " . .

Router lights.

Hi. Sorry for probably what is a very stupid question but like everyone else my broadband is down again.

my router is showing three green lights for power wifi and internet. I unplugged it to check if that worked and when it turned back on it didn't have the green light for the internet. I plugged an old router in and that had two green lights and one red.

my question is this.
why would my old router have a red light and my new three green.

And does anyone else's router need to be unplugged and plugged in three-twenty times before the internet light turns on. Drives me mad.

Re: Is everyone else’s sky down?

@Pearls214 @You never know 🤔 NHS got hacked before didn't they so I suppose it could happen. Is it only sky? Or other providers? Is anyone aware of people on other networks being down?

Re: Is everyone else’s sky down?

I could be wrong, but could it maybe be something to do with the Solar Flares reported?

Re: Is everyone else’s sky down?

Mines been down since about 22:44, I have Glass too, so nothing works!!!

Absolutely 0 communication from Sky - would it kill someone to send out an email?

Slightly amused by the fact that online news reports made me aware of the outage, rather than the Sky website...where everything was apparently 'working'!!!

Re: INTERNET DOWN - USE YOUR SMARTPHONE AS A ROUTER !

My info on tethering was to allow anyone (like me) to continue using their laptop or pc online while the router is down. Not as a permanent alternative.
