My broadband went down about 3 hours ago now. I am in West Yorkshire. As usual with big companies Sky seem to have clammed up, so we are getting no information as to what is happening and how long it will last. It's interesting that companies do this, because it has the effect of inflaming customer annoyance and anger, and does the company reputation no good whatsoever.
My router's internet connection light has come one every time I have restarted the router, so I did some further investigation into the router's settings. I have found that I have one device that is working and receiving data from the internet. It is my Amazon Firestick which has an IP6 connection as well as an IP4 one. It seems that IP6 is working but not IP4, which of course means most of our devices receive nothing. I wonder if Sky have spotted this little anomoly?
