It's probably not your broadband, skys dns is down. 70k sky customers reporting outages on downdetector right now.

You should be able to temporarily change your dns resolvers on most devices, try a public dns like cloud flare 1.1.1.1 or Google 8.8.8.8 instead of 192.168.0.1 (your router which in turn points to skys public dns) 

im currently using Google's dns and can access the internet using my sky broadband

What annoys me the most is the lack of information from Sky. MySky is also down. Why can't they at least have an announcement of their website telling us of a problem and how long it's likely to be down for. Arghhhhh

Same here in Scotland my broadband is also down using my mobile data to connect to get my connection checked and can't even do that !
