Bill increase by over 100 euro and no answer from SKY customer care

Hi Sky.

 

I am very upset and annoyed.

My bill has been 65 euro for the past year. Last month, it was over 80 euro and now I see that the next one due to come out is 177 euro which is insane.

I called customer care over two weeks ago to find out why this was the case and to change my contract. I was told someone would call me back and nothing. I went to a shopping centre to a Sky desk and the man said that he couldn't help me and that I needed to call SKY and gave me another number. I have called that number every day now for about 10 days. I am on hold for ages each time and no one seems to be answering and then sends you to self-help useless billing things and it hangs up so I am here and still can't get speaking to someone in billing and accounts to change my bill.

@Tash2385  If discounts have aneded, which this sounds like then you need to renegotiate a new deal with Sky, the forum can't help with these.

You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

We are customers here so all we can suggest is to keep trying as it does appear you had a discount on your account that you had forgotten about and that is now finished so if you do manage to get through to Sky they might offer you another one if you agree to a new 18 month contract so if you are happy to do this do make a note of when the 18 months is up so you can beaware of when there will be another price rise similar to this one.
