BT Sports Box Office

I can't record a BT Sport box office event on my Sky Q box - I have called a number of times and Sky have said they dont know whats wrong and that it cant be done, and I will need to watch the event live.

I have friends that are able to record the events and watch the next day so why cant sky ?

Re: BT Sports Box Office

I have purchased events before but these were british boxing fights so didnt need to be recorded.

The UFC event is at 4am so looking to record for the next day.

Ive been told by 3 different Sky advisors that its BT's Fault/ You cant record box office / and you can only record in ROI and not UK.

Re: BT Sports Box Office

If you've booked via your remote you can record the event. If you book online you won't be able to record it.

Hi @Kei+M.

Thank you for replying. We have tried purchasing on our sky Q box but it isn't letting us? It says "this programme can not recorded"

Re: BT Sports Box Office

You have to go to bts box office website and buy it on there the first time. Then after that you can just do it from your box. When you pay for it, it asks for your viewing card and it links to your account for future events. Hope this helps.

The OP says they have bought before so it would not be the first time.

The OP says they've bought British boxing before, which are usually on Sky Box Office. So maybe first time using BT Box Office.

Re: BT Sports Box Office

I have checked with BT, they have assured me that we are fully registered and have made purchases before and that it is not an account issue with them but with Sky.

Do you get an error message - and at what point does it fail?

I have a BT account for BT Sports on Sky and I had no problem selecting the record option for tonight at 1am.

Re: BT Sports Box Office

We have the BT sport package with sky and have also registered with box office for pay per view events.

There is no error code, it allows me to enter my pin to purchase through the box and then it shows a message at the top of the screen that says "this programme cannot be recorded"

Having the BT Sports package with Sky plays no part in this. You say you have registered with Box Office so do you mean BT Sports Box Office as you need to register with them woth both your viewing card and payment details.

Re: BT Sports Box Office

I'm having the exact same problem.  Every time I press record it just goes to a buy screen. So frustrating
