Yes, wifi. It's not super fast but it should be more than adequate. We didn't have any picture freezing issues (or any issues actually) last night.

Re: A positive review for a change

I've come from a Sky Soundbox to Sky Glass and personally it is a great improvement, Dolby content is more rich. If you have a high end sound bar / home cinema set up then this will no doubt be a downgrade but for those with low/mid-range soundbars then you're in for a good expereince.

Re: A positive review for a change

In our house Apple TV is number 1.  Even the camera system uses them as hubs and they integrate  perfectly.

I only use Sky Q for Formula 1 and maybe watching some of the Sky Originals i.e Cobra.  So the option of being able to turn on and off the Sky packages at will with only 30 days notice is really appealing as I can switch it all off at the end of the F1 season the back on again when the next season starts.

I have ordered a 43" Sky Glass for the other room which I will watch the F1 on and so far have stuck with just HD with it just being the 43" it will probably be ok for me but I can always add the UHD if it looks naff.  We only have HD TV's now so even if its an average TV it might be a step up from what I have now.

Glad to read your positive review and I think for how I will be using it I dont anticipate many issues other than the crashing which will get ironed out in the software updates hopefully.

My hope is that unlike Now TV the F1 races will be available when I can watch them unlike Now TV.  Sometimes Now TV wont even have them available on demand until well into Monday morning or sometimes even the afternoon.  From what I've read if I add them to the playlist then it should be avialable to watch as soon as the session is over which is a big step up from what Now TV is offering.

Also I dont get the issues with the playlist so much as thats how I mainly watch TV.  If I add a series to nexflix it adds all seasons of it to my watchlist so nothing new there.  Even my5 does this so I am well used to that kind of thing.

I am really looking forward to Sky Go app being available on Apple TV especially if they link it up properly to be able to access Sky Glass Playlists and make it match up with the live channels on there.  No doubt they will try and eek out more money for Sky Go Extra so I can use it (like the used to do on xbox) but I might get what I always wanted which is Sky as an app on my apple tv.

If it all ends up being rubbish then at least I have a new TV to plug my apple tv into and ill cancel the packs or can always send it back.
