Typically such a device is a passthrough box: HDMI out from the Glass puck into the box, HDMI out of the box into the monitor.  The box also has audio output, which can be digital optical or analogue over RCA plugs or stereo mini-jack socket.

Re: A Positive Review

I have had a positive experience, not sureI understand the complaints about recording, surely people knew before they ordered. My only complaint, i decided I want a bigger TV. No problem they said. Cancel everything and then reorder the medium. However because the small tv is still showing in the account I haven't passed the credit check?! Team say wait till its collected and then try again. Only provlem is, I am now without anf  access to anything but the apps, once the tv goes I wint even have this till the new tv arrives. I am stuck indoors imobile after an operation with nothing. Un happy to say the least.

Not really, because the 'cloud recording' which was widely anticipated before release has turned out to be rather different to what many of us expected.

But does it record and if so where can you find the recording, if it does you have solved many peoples problems with glass.

Re: A Positive Review

In playlist, most things I have that are not bbc itv or 4 show a recorded label and play back like a Q recording does.

example below, see under synopsis is 'recorded'

Maybe this is the start of Sky fixing the Playlist so it will be like it was announced. That would make Sky Glass much better.

Re: A Positive Review

Iv had recordings occur from the day I received the glass which was 1 week after launch.

Re: A Positive Review

@Jayboy1990  same for me.... doesn't record everything as you've mentioned, BBC / ITV etc, but imo does what i thought it would do with recordings vs on demand streaming.

Non-Sky branded channels which do not have a native catch-up app, yes.
