sky is a joke crap slow internet and it seems now they can just put it up 50 quid even though you have a contact with them

A £50 increase might be because the discount you had forgotten that you have on your package is ending hence the price increase. You could try calling Sky to see if they will offer you a further discount if you will agree to a new 18 month contract.

@gary3161  Because the contract allows for the increase, the contract is fixed term (usually 18 months), not fixed price 

 

discounts may also be ending so you will need to call sky and negotiate
