sneaky price rise

So i recently renewed my subscription on the 3/3/22 for 18months and was told on each occasion i asked if the new price included the price increase due at the begininng of April the answer was YES. Ok great, i now have an email informing that i will have an increase in price begininng in May with it appearing on my June bill. So either 1 of 2 things is happeninng

1. There is another price increase incoming on top of the original price increase for April which i would have thought is appliciable to everyone

or

2. The new price i was given didn't include the April price rise and it was deferred to May/June to ensure they got the extra price increase.

Either way this has me extremely annoyed at the underhand tactics so much i am considering cancelling and going elsewhere as i am still within my 31 day cooling off period.

i would be curious to know if anyone else has expericened this kind of tatic.

Re: sneaky price rise

  • This is how it works - These changes are for standard pricing only. This means:
Any offers you currently have won’t be affected by the price change.
If you have an offer that promises you’ll pay a fixed price for its duration,
you’ll continue to pay this price until the offer expires.
If you have an offer that entitles you to a percentage discount,
you’ll receive the same percentage discount of the new price until the offer expires.
  • However if you consider you have been misinformed in any way call Sky and ask for the telephone conversation to be reviewed and any discrepancy shown should be honored.
Passing on the tips I have learned in over 24 years as a more than satisfied Sky customer.

Re: sneaky price rise

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Mogwai31  Discounted deals reflect the price at the time you took the discount, your T & C's that you agreed to when taking the service allow for the annual price rise to be added.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
