I am so confused with how my account has become so messed up by the fact that I ordered then cancelled skyglass in March 2022 and received no products or deliveries, sky has cancelled the contract and the monthly payment I would have made are all £0.00, hower the streaming TV is still showing that its in the processing stage and would be awaiting the stage namely Hi this is sky we are just letting you know that your skyglass TV has now been shipped. it wasnt until I decided to upgrade my owned battered samsung device and get both phone and sim with sky that issues began to appear in my skyid first thing was that my priimary email address couldnt be edited, deleted or linked to my mobile account - as you'd expect it to be the case, I was also testing the beta email proctection by duckduckgo, which became the primary ID and I had my primary now my secondary ID email set so that sky would send everykthing to this address, long story shorter duckduckgo email protection although effective in removing trackers it also removed the link to change or reset any skyid passwords, so duckduckgo experiment had to go. It took two atempts to remove thiis by sky staff as for a reason I cant fathom sky would allow this ducky email to be edited, deleted, removed or changed, eventually ducky was no more, with assurances from SkyID that i could use the outlook email as my primary ID again, however we soon discovered yet more bugs galore, signing in under outlook my mobile account had now vanished like Paul Daniels after a few too many pernods, having had numerous conversations with sky over this issue the on overriding default solution was to create an email acccount for the mobile temporarily I did this because my primary ID refused to be linked with no error just tech issue come back later three months weve been coming back later, now giving th mobile an ID didnt fix it or even plaster it, because that ID isnt primary its medium anhd I am not authorised to view my mobile bill make payments, sky even blocked me from accessing mysky app as i am not authorised and it gets worse on top of this temprorary mediaum access which for about 30mins runs witrhout a glitch then i get invited to locate my account with postcode space in the middle or none - still cant locate my account via mysky app - why? because i am not authorised - but signing into sky.com links you to mysky close the app and I can locate my medium secondary id but i only have the mobile with no ability to do anything, if I signin to the primary TV and Broadband i am authorised and why is skyglass still sitting in the processing waiting area for a heck of a long time. Cut the sage a bite sized shorter zoom forward to 09.09.2023 i am told that someone has been asigned to investigate the issue and they will be looking at the problem as of the 11.09.2023, and yep no one contacted me so i contact sky again where a sky representative put herself forward as going to fix it as she knew what the issue was at it was a caze of sendinhg a request to remove mobile id then simply linking oldcynic68 to the mobile and how many times have I heard this? far too many all with the same or similar issue, she made and appointment with me for Thursday 21.09.2023 calling me between 7-8pm? Did she follow up? nope she didnt. So today i contact sky again to fix an internal bug that sky needs to fix pronto - and I am told that the mobile ID has been removed - no it hasnt as I can login, the person in skyID was really not paying attention, today for me wasa the point where this is no longer a joke or a strange quirk that youi might joke about this was now a Sky issue that sky has created that sky hasw to fix
the mobile team told me w3hat others in sky has said that skyglass even though it was cancelled never shipped has blocked the usage of my only email address - although sky representative told me that it wasnt blocked i had been misinformed as i can login - to my TV Broadband account and I cant edit this email neither can i link the mobile - so that constitutes full or partial blockage? still a blockage if it wasnt blocked locked or chained to skyglass then it would be free to be deleted linked unlinked
so this member of staff today keeps sending me skyid links to set up an ID for the mobile, which I already explained the happyjazz email is new only a week old created to access mobile, so I asked him what the point was of creating another email address to set up for the mobile when there is one which doesnt allow me access to the account anyway, and even if i did do thiis which i wasnt going it creates more problems when sky should be focusing on ending the SkyGlass order being stuck in processing awaiting instructions for the better part of 18mths, I am not a noob where software and tech is concerned if my contract is cancelled if i have receieved no notifications of shipments i have no glass in my home but SkyGlass account has a processing stage still active then I told this skyid representative that this is why the most likely reason to all the other issues, and all someone needs to do is move it the cancelled/termination phase and close it off which should free the strangle hold on oldcynic68, however whatever this representative did by "Fixing the issue with oldcynic68" if it is fixed its now created another issue becuse skyglass was locked to oldcynic68 now he tells me that if i want to have the happyjazz removed i need to speak with the glass team, i said hang on that doesnt make sense as oldcynic68 was the emaqil in March 2022 and everyone i spoke stated that this email address was the issue, sop reverse up a bit suddenly anm email address only created a week ago to enable mobile access is now the issue with glass.
He couldnt wait to transfer me to glass aftger I asked him what he has done to the account where an email address whose only function was linked to my mobile and it was never replaced as the primary and eveyone before this couldnt undo whatever glass has done, he transferred me to Glass, where i decided to throw this scenario into the community coffers.
I laughingly said to this questionable fixer that in 24hrs i might come back and test this supposed fix where instead of resolving the issues at ground level he's undoubtedly created more problems as he didnt offer to delete the happyjazz id which if hisi fix is fixed it is no longer needed, the suggestion that not to worry ev erything will be fine in 24hrs, this he said after his fix i couldnt access the mobile account or the TV or the Broadband on sky.com I could for a few minutes then sky.com runs headlong into another technical problem where i cant access any of my accounts.
Someone who keeps trying to force the create another new email id and claims that they hear your issue and they understand and they'll fix it for you then suddenly starts laughing and speaking a non UK native language, and then denies that he was when I said I didnt understand him because he wasnt speaking english - was he insulting me to a colleague of his and then laughing about my irritation - maybe who knows.
A secondary medium access email address used with sky for the last week doesnt magically now become the glass email ID issue when oldcynic68 couldnt be edited or removed and I tried to add happyjazz as didj his colleague earlier in the week as did eveyone else i spoke with about this issue they all agreed oldcynic68 - SkyGlass stuck together - and the only people who can fix this issue is the Glass team so why is it that I dont get immediately put through to them - but now its happyjazz email ID thats stuck to Glass - how is that logical - when the whole purpose is to fix the Glass processing error, Glass unlink oldcynic68, oldcynic68 is then free to link to mobile and happyjazz is deleted - I am no further out of this mess than I was when I spoke with someone who according to pure deduction has swapped the temp mobile email id onto glass and I have to be totally upfront with my sceptisism and now oldcynic68 is divorced from glass.
And to then tell me that if i want to get rid of happyjazz i need to speak with skyglass but isnt that who we have been after over oldcynic68 - heres to more issues on the horrizon
