I've thought about this situation carefully and tried to justify it to myself. I can't sadly.
I understand the base price vs discounts effect perfectly, but the reality for my bank account is my bill is due to increase by 16% due to the discounts becoming less powerful.

I think that would be hard to stomach for anyone and I think it was the push I needed to move away from what was once a provider of all the TV content anyone could ever ask for.
I'm out of contract, so, after 22 years, it's time to say goodbye. Cancellation request submitted today, just waiting for confirmation now.
