Why can I not subscribe to Sports @£20

I am a 23 year Sky platinum VIP who is stuck with Priority Customers as admin - I am out of contract - with Sky Sports expiring in around a week - I found a link offering Sport at £20 https://www.sky.com/tv/sports?isApple=false&dcmp=knc-uk-ppc-ggl-21287914245-UPG-SP-Trading-N/A-PMAX-... but am unable to select it - why is that ?

@Wibbly-Woo

That is an offer for potential new customers of which you are not, and because you already have Sky Sports on your account the system will not let you add it.

@Wibbly-Woo I'd suggest taking it up with the Customer Priority team as they're managing your account.

The T&Cs state for new sports customers.

It's a standard promotional campaign that is trying to encourage people who don't have sky sports to sign up for the new PL season. It's incredibly common to see a well discounted offer for new customers at this time of the year for the start of the football season.

The T&Cs state this:

Not available in conjunction with any other offer or to existing Sky Sports subscribers.

@Wibbly-Woo It doesn't matter if you have given notice to cancel, you will still be considered an existing customer right up to the final day of your service.

You are not eligible for the offer as it stand right now.

You would need to not have sky sports for a while before being seen as a new sports customers otherwise a large percentage of customers would use the same loophole.

The purpose of the offer is to attract people who have never had Sky sports or who haven't had Sky sports for quite a while.

It is an upgrade to customers who unlike you do not have Sky Sports on their package at present.

Hi @Wibbly-Woo   To be clear, you gave Sky the 31 days notice of cancelling Sky Sports on 13 July 2025? Or are you confusing minimum term with contract. In either case you will be a returning subscriber, not a new subscriber.

@Wibbly-Woo there's little point debating here whether or not you're eligible for this offer. You'll need to pursue it with the Customer Priority team as they have control of your account. If you haven't heard back from them, I'd email them again, or if other contact options are available to you, try an alternative route.

Re: Why can I not subscribe to Sports @£20

@MightyQuinn

I have been an Out of contract customer for a few years and now have agreed to a 24 month contract

The ad for the add-on simply says that Sky Q is needed (so it could NOT be for new customers only - because Q is not available to NEW  customers) - and a NEW 24 month contract is needed - which I will have in a few days !!

So - YES I am entitled to Sport @£20
