Why am I being charged before my contract went live

Contract went live 24/5/24 but the bill starts from 17/5/24 why?

@Fayzee  Which tv platform?

 

if it's glass/stream that is activated 14 days after delivery automatically if you haven't done so yourself before hand 

 

broadband isn't billed until you're go live date

The TV and Broadband contracts are different ( despite Sky selling them together) and the lead time for provisioning is different, as the TV just requires a delivery whereas the broadband is requested via OpenReach has has a minimum turnaround time of 10 days. This typical activation time is within the 14 day from delivery to self activation timeline, so for the majority of customers where Openreach perform the switch within the usual timelines there is no issue.
