If this is a question about your Sky TV then you contract doesn't end until you have given Sky the required 31 days notice to cancel it and yes the box (and minis if you have any) have to be returned so when you do this make sure you get and keep proof of posting and keep this for a year or so.

Or you could login to your online billing and locate your first bill, just add the length of your contract on to this - 18/24 months and you will get an idea of when your minimum term is up.
