When can I switch provider?

My Sky Broadband Gigafast contract expires on 25th October 2024. I had an offer for £33 a month and it's going up to £63 a month from then so I want to change to YouFibre as get synchronised gigabit speeds for less than I currently pay.

My next £33 direct debit comes off on 25th September.

Does this mean that I can switch anytime from 25th September without any extra charges?

@OMTT

The notice period for broadband cancellation is 14 days.

To cancel Sky Broadband and Sky Talk totally, or if you’re moving to a provider like Virgin Media or City Fibre etc who don’t use the Openreach set up, you'll have to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days. This link may help https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-broadband

If you are changing to another provider who also uses the Openreach infrastructure then join up with them and they should contact Sky on your behalf.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of the notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.
