@Moondawwg  It's not when sky does it but your bank its normally between midnight and 6am on the date payment is due or the next working day if it falls on a weekend or bank holiday

Re: What time payment card will be charged

I know that applies to direct debit payments, but card payments usually have to be requested by the merchant. Has sky given any hint as to what time?

Debit payments are requested at weekends (not restricted to business days like DD) but no idea of the time.

Why is the time important?

I signed up using a bank card from an account I intentionally keep no money in (freebies and other online stuff), helpful to to know the times so I don't add money then another company is due payment at same time.

I'd be surprised if Sky request payment at a specific time. Even if they did there would be some minor variation in the time the bank processed it. Safest to make sure funds are available from midnight on the date payment is due.

Hmmm, ok - as above, ensure funds are there prior to the date.  I believe they tend to be taken in the early hours, probably by some sort of batch.

I use a cash back credit card - reduces the bill a little 😄  (and doesn't need funds as such)

Based on my experience with the card payments, its always been taken well into the evening of the payment date. However I'd suspect this is more likely due to payments being requested in batches, so i'd suspect the times may be different for different customers. What i have noticed is that the payment time is incredily similar every month and only seems to differ by 15 minutes, so you should get an idea of what time the payment will be taken once your first once has gone through.
