Virtual assistant shortcomings

Having cancelled my multi room contract(but retained my Sky Go contract) I  returned the mini-box and associated cables successfully. Sky emailed to ask if I  needed to return anything else. 

I tried to ask Sky's VA whether or not I should return the remote control as well.

Despite 10 minutes of misunderstood chat I got no help whatsoever. 

Of course Sky's email to me was of the "please do not reply to this email but click on this link for additional information " which led me to my wasted chat with Sky's robot.

There needs to be a method of persuading the Virtual Assistant to switch the chat to a human supervisor. My request for this resulted in the response "Oops, something went wrong at this end" and the useless chat recommenced.

There is.  Say nothing...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
