VIP or second class citizen.
I've been with SKY for 23 years and they call me a VIP. That's nice. So why is it they treat me like a second class citizen when it comes to renewing my contract?
By that I mean my bill is higher than a newbie.

Re: VIP or second class citizen.
Nearly all customers are VIP. VIP status has no bearing on renewal costs. You will probably have benefitted from new customer discounts back in the day but renewals nowadays won't get near a new customer discount I'm afraid.

@Pensioner58 everyone is a vip new and existing but it has never entitled customers to discounts
yoy would have benefited from new customer discount 23 years ago so aren't entitled to the same as new customers

And if you decide to jump ship and move to another provider to take advantage of their new customer offers, remember that in 18 or 24 months when those discounts end you'll be in the same position again.

That is correct. All telecoms providers offer 'lost leader' prices as it's harder to attract new customers than keep them.
It's highly unlikely you'll get a contract offer near a new customer price.
