Upgrading to Sky Glass, unable to change package
Evening I was wondering if anyone could advise on what to do.
I have been with Sky on the same package for over 5 years. Without calling to ask for a reduction or change to anything.
Our current billing includes.
Sky Q + 1 extra box
Sky Entertainment
Sky Cinema
Sky Kids
Broadband (which is only ever max of 15mbps normally a low of 6)
Telephone with we dont even have plugged in.
£131 per month
I was tempted to upgrade to the Sky Glass after seeing they are offering same promotion to existing customers not just new. After finding the package I wanted online without logging in is as follows...
Sky Glass 65"
Sky Live
Sky Entertainment & Netflix
Whole Home with 2xPucks
£61 per month
However I need to get Broadband from another provider, as what Sky can offer me is not sufficient enough to run Sky Glass. Also need Cinema and Kids to be removed.
After trying online I could not do this.
So I called on the number provided and they are quoting me approx £160 per month not including the upfront cost and only for 1 puck, she said I need to accept the new contract before I could remove add ons and broadband. But surely these dont equate to the excess £100 per month I was quoted, and without the second puck.
Also, after accepting a new contract, the Sky Cinema/Kids and Broadband will be in the new contract for 24 months, so how will I be able to remove them after she suggested?
Any advice on what to do would be appreciated.
Many Thanks Chris

Re: Upgrading to Sky Glass, unable to change package
Can I suggest you don't even think about ordering Glass until you know another ISP can provide at least 40Mbs to the address. If Sky cannot do so then typically no other Openreach ISP can.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
