@Jax41
If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community, which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.
Thats unrealistic. New customers are offered good discounts as an incentive to join. Most companies do this now. You probably took advantage of such a new customer deal when you first joined Sky.
If you can't negotiate an acceptable price for renewing then perhaps consider a move to an alternative provider, but when that deal nears its end you'll be in the same position with them, and will be able to rejoin Sky if you wish and take up any new customer deals available at that time.
Skys owners Comcast do appear to prioritise getting new customers over retaining long standing ones. Other providers do this too so it seems to be usual practice.

Re: Unfair to loyal customers
New customer deals (which may be loss-making over the initial minimum contract term) are intended to poach users from other suppliers in the knowledge that a percentage won't notice their subscriptions reverting to full list price after two years.
It's a cynical business model but one which all ISPs and pay-television platforms are addicted to: they simply cannot afford to offer such pricing to their whole customer base.
