The only payments Sky accept are a credit or debit card or a direct debit so it is not possible to set up a standing order.
If the funds are a single it should be taken on the billing date but can be a day or so late if that date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday as it will not usually be taken on these dates so would be taken on the next availble working day.
