Hello everyone...
I have a *seemingly* simple question, that I cannot find the answer to ANYWHERE on here...
My Bank, has helpfully lost my Sky Payment Account Details... you know, the one you pay directly into when you pay by DD, or whatever...
... so I need to set up the details again...
The issue is... I cannot FIND the bloody things on here !!
Does anyone have the Name (Sky TV doesn't show up ANY searches/hits with my Bank Company Look-up)
Sort Code (of the account we/the Bank pays directly INTO (( 12 dash 34 dash 56 or whatever...)) to transfer the Money TO Sky... ( I have to say it this way, because >> Your message contains ##-##-##, which is not allowed or has been repeated too many times. We block information which can identify you such as account or phone numbers & email addresses. Please remove or change it before trying again. Very helpful...
Account Number of the Sky Bank Account, that we pay into... to pay them... (( 123-456-78 ))
???

Wrong!! As Spanner 77 has already mentioned.... there is always something wrong with "that page" sky just shrugs its shoulders... wont trust them with a DD if they cant manage finances properly.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYour bank can't set up a direct debit. Only you can do that by you entering your bank details into the payment set up page on your online Sky account.
Sky don't accept payment by standing order. Sky contracts only allow payment by direct debit or monthly card payment.

I have looked for this myself and it seems SKY chooses not to let you pay in an easy way that suits you.🤔 Same as they never take the money out on the day it's supposed to leave my account via DD then they cancel it instantly making me once again set it back up.😡
I wanted to pay a lump off my Sky mobile contract and amazingly there is ALWAYS an error on 'THAT' page 👎
they don't want people to leave but they do very little in making it easy for us to want to stay. I considered reinstating my broadband a while ago and no matter what i tried it refused me. 🙄

You can make payments via your online account. To pay it off, you can make additional payments. Any additional payments will go towards paying off your final monthly instalments (not necessarily your next month’s instalment).
To see what is left to pay go to your "My Payments" section here:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/mobile/device/x/payments
If you don't want to do it online then call Sky on the free 150 number as they will be able to take the payment.

The ways you can pay are explained in the contract you agreed to. The direct debit payment date can vary slightly depending on bank processing.
Your direct debit is only cancelled when you're in arrears - completely within your control.

IF i wanted to make payments in advance i would do so, BUT i want to pay off the total not in advance. Why is it everyone avoids the Question about the pages we try to use that is to do with paying a lump sum off or canceling something it says ERROR on that page,
My mum wanted to cancel her tv package ... ERROR..
my son needs to cancel his whole account... ERROR..
Yet want to ADD something THAT page works fine.
I want to pay off a lump sum ... can you guess whats coming? ... ERROR!!! you all need to stop avoiding the actual questions and FIX your website. No wonder people are leaving Sky.

How do you imagine we customers on the forum will be able to do that?

The DD was canceled without SKy even trying to take the funds. so obviously it'll be in arrears 🙄

Sky only cancel your direct debit when you're already in arrears.

Yes I totally agree. Sky is going backwards not forwards. Every company I know in the 21st century has an account number and sort code where you can make payments with your reference number. NOT SKY. Totally inflexible. I called to ask how someone could make payments to my account and I was told I would have to give the person my password to call, or log in online!!....How ridiculous. I wouldn't even download an invoice. I would never recommend anyone to Sky. When it comes to support and fixing issues they are useless, but they will sell you the world to buy..

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Greenpeace07760 your terms and conditions specify how Sky require payment to be made. There's no need for any additional payment methods. You can make additional pay, ents by card if you really want to, but it's unnecessary and is likely to cause you billing problems.
Every company that I've come across only allow direct debit or card payments.

No they won't provide it. But how would it help? They won't accept payment by standing order.
