Sky not solving customers contract problems

I received a text from sky stating my contract was up for renewal & was quoted a price increase of £11.50 if l cared to go online &renew my contract, which I did ,then quoted a further increase of a further increase of another £15 a month for the same package.l could live with the initial increase but to increase it further just for pressing 1 button ,so then l spent 45 mins trying to solve the problem with a virtual helper which only got my heart rate shooting one way after just being bounced from one page to another ,so thanks sky so,where do l turn to next without having to suffer another price increase when my contract runs out through no fault of my own Don't know what to try next WISH I COULD SPEAK TO SOMEONE SKY??????

Go ahead and call them?  Try saying nothing when you call.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@Steve++Newbound

These are the current methods for contacting Sky…

▪️call by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile.

Calls to Sky will start automated which may offer you the online help route (see below) or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Note: if your services are restricted due to a missed payment phone contact is unlikely to work.

▪️online help via this link
https://www.sky.com/help

▪️Sky Assistant is also available at the top of sky.com/help for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It will provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

▪️Social Media You can also get in touch with Sky via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).

Note If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required.

Your contract doesn't end until you cancel it. It's your discount that runs out.

If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

Significant discounts are harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new customer so don’t expect anything close to a new customer deal.

Your post doesn't actually indicate you've tried to call Sky. Use the method already advised by @SKY1992bf

Re: Sky not solving customers contract problems

@Steve++Newbound  I suggest you write an email giving notice of your 31 days to cancel as found at the bottom of this link and Sky will contact you (assuming you have not opted out of Sky contacting you).

Saves you the stress of AI chat bots and you can see what price they offer
